Tyne & Wear Reptile Association

Tyne and Wear Reptile Association was set up in October 2010. We have monthly meetings where reptile keepers old and new to come and meet fellow reptile enthusiasts. The committee is voted in by the members of the club and are as follows:

Treasure – Chris BL
Secretaries – Rachel & Tom
Events team – Adam and Adam

All are welcome and we do various different things at our friendly informal meetings. Recently we have had reptile pub quiz, a talk on Royal pythons with Adam, Boas with our very own Lewis, Brumation, Frogs by Steve Winter, Rhacodactylus with Lauren from the Rhac Shack, Garter Snakes by our very own Chris BL, DWA by Graham Skinner, Boa show and tell, a talk about Colubrids, a talk with Kevin Stevens regarding his trip to the Galapagos Islands, a show and tell with Tarantulas, a talk on a herpetology trip to Thailand and a show and tell and a talk about monitors by Stevie Foo. We also have highly successful equipment swap shops. The club also organises coach trips to UK and European Reptile shows and there are lots more exciting trips planned for 2012.

At each meeting subs of £1.50 and under 16s are free. Refreshments are provided. We will regularly update this page with details of upcoming meeting and events, add TAWRA to your facebook page to receive more news and information.
